Adidas Unveils The Adizero Crazy Light 2, The Lightest Basketball Shoe Ever!!
Adidas Basketball unveiled the Adizero Crazy Light 2, the lightest basketball shoe ever at lean 9.5 ounces in Santa Monica during a presentation at the LA Clippers’ practice facility. Sports announcer Gus Johnson was on hand to present Lawrence Norman, adidas vice president of global basketball and the shoe’s designer Robbie Fuller, who spoke on its creation. Boasting that it is 10% lighter than its nearest competitor, Fuller also noted it features, “more cushioning and stability, while cutting weight.”
The Crazy Light 2 utilizezSprintframe and Sprintweb tech, the latter providing more horizontal and vertical support for the foot. While playing in these kicks there was never any question of its ankle support and they felt very solid underfoot despite its ridiculously light weight. It’s easy to see why both fleet footed guard and big men that have already worn the kicks in the NCAA tournament and high school all-star games. Five initial colorways of the Crazy Light 2, like the highlighter worthy ‘Electricity’ colorway, will go on sale May 24, and retail for $140.
